 | "Pian di Spagna e Lago di Mezzola" is a Natural Reserve of the Lombardia region run by a consortium of communes of the mountain areas of "Alto Lario Occidentale", "Valchiavenna" and "Valtellina di Morbegno".
The Reserve has been created with the aims of giving the migratory birds suitable sites for their stay and nesting, of protecting and preserving both the natural environment and the landscape of this wet area, of controlling and arranging the use of the area for didactic and recreational purposes, of controlling the socioeconomic activities in the area according to the necessities of environmental conservation. | |
